I was home for Christmas this year, the first time in 4 years. I am incredibly lucky that “going home” for me means Byron Bay. Anyone that knows this little pocket of paradise knows that means perfect balmy days on the beach, swimming in warm tropical waters, long breakfasts that turn into lunch, lots of laughter, family everywhere, great food, wine, yoga, dancing, talking for hoooours about I don’t even know what…. all that goodness! And of course friends, did I mention friends? It is always so nourishing to be with old friends that I have known through that journey from single life, to married life and on to motherhood, and of course it feels just the same after a year, two years, four years, I’m sure it always will be. This is one of my most special friends Karena, and her beautiful family, her sweet Darshi and their absolutely divine boys Hunter and Ochre.
